FUNdamentals of Film Creation

(This class is a 3 term commitment and will include a screening at the CDCC in late June)

Spring term dates : March 28 - June 13 (10 Sessions)

*No classes April 4 and May 16

This 3-term course runs from September 20th - June 13th and concludes with a screening of a created film based on the students' work and inspired by a classic film. The course is designed specifically for those who would like to gain confidence as performers and become more knowledgeable of the necessary skills required to audition for film and TV. Participants will have the opportunity to explore drama in an engaging and practical way. Experience will be gained by practicing audition technique, analyzing text and scripts, learning what to expect on set, and participating in numerous on-camera exercises, as well as discussing the business of acting. In addition to learning the fundamentals of being-on-camera, participants will collectively write and shoot a short film based on a classic movie.
