Acting Skills Performance

level 2, Ages 9-12

 

This is a level 2 class and requires a prerequisite of having taken an OCT class or equivalent previously.   

 

Saturdays 2:30 - 4:00

  Fall term September 19 - November 28 (10 sessions)

* No class October 10

 Winter term January 9 - March 6 (8 sessions)

* No class February 14

Spring term April 6 - June 12 (10 sessions and includes a performance)

 *No classes May 22/23

Course Fee: Fall term $370 + HST

                      Winter term $310 + HST (secures your spot in the Spring term)

                      Spring term $410 + HST (processed the week of February 2-6)

 

Building on skills learned in previous classes, students will continue to refine their acting skills using scripted scenes from plays. There is an emphasis on working with text to develop nuanced performances. Young actors will explore different ways to create exciting performances. In the Winter and Spring terms the Acting skills level 2 classes will shift towards developing a play with a story arc. In June at the end of the Spring term the play will be performed​.  The Fall term is 10 sessions for students to explore the ideas of performing a play and to find out if they would like to commit to a fuller part in a play for the Winter and Spring terms.
