If you are a student with a desire to explore creative writing, this is the class for you!  Expressive writing is a way to explore our innermost feelings and transpose them into a healthy creative outlet. This online writing course equips students with new tools of self-expression by exploring their own ideas. We will be learning big-picture writing elements such as the 3 act structure, joke set-ups, monologues, and dialogues, and will build these into scene work. By the end of the course, students will have written a number of different pieces they can build off of and take into further development. Students will be writing every class; it is recommended that students use a pen and paper/notebook for this course. Reflection writing/ homework will be assigned as a completely optional activity for your child to continue their creative thinking in between classes.

LOCATION: This is an online course.  A Zoom link will be sent to the email provided the week leading up to the first class. A document on OCT expectations for taking an online course will be provided at that time.
