This course is especially designed for students with previous experience who are ready for a more in-depth approach to acting.  Over the course of three semesters, students will learn from a team of instructors. Students will learn how to use text, movement, prop manipulation and sound to create an original play based on “A Planet is a Poem,” a new book on the solar system and poetry by OCT founder Amanda West Lewis.

Working as an ensemble, the class will develop their ability to bring these words to life from the page to the stage.  Each semester will focus on a different aspect of stagecraft including how to perform and present in an audition situation, writing poetry, singing, movement and prop manipulation. The course will conclude in the spring with a showcase presentation.
